Summary
As a Teacher at Grace Montessori Academy, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experiences of our students. This position is essential for creating an engaging and supportive learning environment that promotes the Montessori philosophy and encourages children's natural curiosity.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Assess student progress through observation and documentation, adapting teaching strategies as necessary.
- Collaborate with parents and staff to support student development and well-being.
- Provide early intervention strategies for children needing additional support.
- Incorporate physical education and wellness activities into the curriculum.
- Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment that reflects the Montessori principles.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching practices.
Qualifications
- Education or Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
- Experience working with young children in an educational setting is essential.
- Strong understanding of early childhood development and Montessori methods.
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans tailored to individual student needs.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Knowledge of special education practices is a plus.
- Experience with standardized testing is beneficial but not required.
