The TRIO Student Support Services department is seeking a full-time, 11-month, Assistant Director.Responsibilities
- The TRIO Student Support Services Assistant Director is responsible for a team-based, proactive approach to interventions to aid in student success and leads the departmental academic efforts
- This position involves collaborating with offices and departments across campus to ensure student success and accurate assessment of student and program information
- The Assistant Director also serves as an academic coach to an assigned cohort of SSS students
- Coordinate the development plan, implementation, management, and evaluation of academic programs that support student, retention, and assessment strategies, including but not limited to community and campus outreach, new SSS Student Orientation, and engagement events
- Coordinate and administer assessments to identify incoming student needs, monitor and record student progress through the completion of Individual Success plans, and collaborate to develop and implement appropriate support programs based on student need patterns, services, or referrals
- Provide individualized coaching sessions for assigned studentsQualifications
- Master's degree in an appropriate field preferred : Education, Counseling, Student Affairs, Leadership or Educational Administration.
- Valid Driver's license
- 2-5 years TRIO experience preferred
- Experience with curriculum implementation and teaching
- Strong and effective leadership skills
