Environmental Lawyer

Position: Associate Attorney – Environmental Law
Location: Boca Raton / Ft. Lauderdale, FL (Hybrid)
Compensation: $110,000 - $200,000 (based on experience)

About the Role

An established law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney with experience in environmental law to join its Boca Raton or Ft. Lauderdale office. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex environmental matters while collaborating with a dynamic legal team in a hybrid work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal counsel on environmental law matters, including regulatory compliance, permitting, and litigation.
• Represent clients in administrative proceedings, enforcement actions, and transactional matters.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, contracts, and regulatory filings.
• Collaborate with colleagues on case strategy and client advocacy.
• Maintain high-quality legal work while meeting billable hour expectations.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Bar admission in Florida (or eligibility for reciprocity).
• Prior experience in environmental law, including regulatory, litigation, or transactional work.
• Strong legal research, writing, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases while delivering high-quality legal service.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $110,000 - $200,000 (commensurate with experience).
• Bonuses:
• $5,000 non-discretionary bonus for 2,000 billable hours annually.
• Discretionary bonuses between $3,000 - $20,000 based on billable hours and originations.
• Billable Hours: Typically 1,500–1,800 hours annually.
