BA Step 1 $48,007 or MA Step 1 $50,670 per GITA contract
Brief Description of Position
Support Kindergarten and 1st-grade students in developing strong foundational literacy skills. The ideal candidate will provide targeted reading interventions, collaborate with classroom teachers to enhance literacy instruction, and utilize data-driven strategies to support student growth.
Qualifications/Skills/Abilities Required:
NYS Certification in Literacy (Birth-Grade 6) or related field required. Experience working with early elementary students is preferred. Strong knowledge of phonics, reading interventions, and early literacy development.
Qualifications/Skills/Abilities Desired:
Provide small-group and individualized literacy instruction.
Support teachers in implementing evidence-based literacy practices.
Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
Collaborate with faculty to develop engaging, developmentally appropriate reading
initiatives.
Foster a love of reading and literacy in early learners.
