Order Puller/Forklift Operator

Job Description

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Loading and unloading of tractor-trailer trucks using a forklift or manually by hand.
• Have a basic understanding of the materials and products the company carries as well as their location in the store.
• Pick orders in a fast-paced environment while meeting quality standards.
• Count, verify orders and shipments onto or from pallets and shelves by hand or through use of material handling equipment (ex. Forklift or by hand) checking invoice against items received.
• Ensures proper stock rotation and appropriate stock on hand.
• Stocks storage areas and displays with new or transferred merchandise.
• Sets up advertising signs and displays merchandise on shelves, counters, or tables.
• Physical activities include: standing, walking, lifting, twisting, and turning for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift or move objects weighing up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 60 pounds occasionally throughout the shift.
• Carry and load customer purchases.
• Keep the store and storage yard clean and orderly.
• Maintain checklist on forklift and delivery truck.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Forklift experience and/or warehouse experience preferred.
• Good attendance and punctuality.
• Detail oriented and extremely reliable.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
