What are the responsibilities and job description for the Equine Handler position at Grant's Farm?
Grant's Farm is looking for an Equine Handler that will primarily be responsible for feeding, grooming, and handling various equines (donkeys, horses, and miniatures) for public displays. In the summer, this person will also assist The Budweiser Clydesdale staff with guest interactions at the photo experience and tours. The successful person in this role will also be responsible for the daily cleaning of stables and their surrounding areas, routine feeding and care, and closing duties as scheduled.
Essential Job Duties
- Daily cleaning and maintenance of the animal enclosures, barns, and fencing.
- Maintaining main stables and carriage house and assisting with events as needed.
- Observing animals for illness, injury, or changes in behavior.
- Assisting with the Budweiser Clydesdale tours and photo experience.
- Educating guests about Equines as necessary.
- Following guidelines on the safe handling of equines.
- Collaborate with other staff and Lead Team Members on projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
