Job Title: Coordinator of Extended Day Programs Wage/Hour Status: Exempt

Primary Purpose:
Responsible for developing and managing a program to serve the needs of Grapevine-Colleyville ISD students after or before regular school hours. Responsible for developing the curriculum and activities; recruiting, training and supervising staff; managing and working with parents and school personnel.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree; Master’s degree (preferred)
Valid Texas Mid-management or Principal Certification (preferred)
Two years’ experience in an instructional leadership role
Professional Teacher Certification; Early Childhood preferred
Three years’ classroom teaching experience
Background in education or youth-related field
Evidence of experience in managing a budget and in long-range planning
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Strong organizational, communication, public relations and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of District organization and operations as required for this position
Child Care Licensure knowledge
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Maintain a high-quality childcare program throughout the year that includes exceptional customer service.
- Ensures that programs are cost effective and funds are managed prudently.
- Evaluate and recommend improvement in the purposes, design, materials, and implementation of the program.
- Prepares long-range planning for the program.
- Coordinates programs at various campuses.
- Submits and maintains a budget for the program.
- Ensures all State licensing requirements are met for child care programs.
- Promotes a positive, caring climate for learning.
- Develops training options and/or improvement plans to ensure the best operation of the program.
- Works with students, staff, and community members to make them aware of the program and its purpose.
- Communicates clearly the District’s goals to the parents and community, and responds to concerns in a timely manner.
