What are the responsibilities and job description for the Extended Day position at St. Monica Catholic School?
St. Monica Catholic School has openings for the After School Care
Program. We are a PreK thru 8 th grade school. Applicants need to have a
caring attitude and a joy for working with children.
Employees will work under the supervision of the After School Care
Coordinator.
The Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Supporting and upholding the philosophy of Catholic education and the
mission of the school.
· Acting as a role model for Gospel values by following the teachings of
the Roman Catholic Church.
· Supervising the children in your care at all times and following all safe
environment guidelines.
· Maintaining a positive and safe learning environment while following a
set schedule.
· Scheduling homework time which begins in 1st grade. Children work
independently with staff available to help as needed.
· Planning and providing a variety of activities, which includes gym time
and/or outdoor play time for the children.
· Setting-up and cleaning-up your after school classroom.
· Being interactive with the children. Which requires being able to stand,
walk, sit and move about freely while the children are in your care.
Hours are 2:30 to 6:00 pm on days that school is in session and 11:30 am
to 6:00 pm on occasional early release days.
