What are the responsibilities and job description for the Digital Print Project Manager position at Graphic Village?
Sunrise Hitek, a division of Graphic Village, is currently seeking an experienced, energetic, self-motivated, extremely well-organized, and detail oriented Digital Printing Project Manager with expert technical knowledge as well as excellent customer service skills to join our team in Chicago, IL.
What you'll do:
What you'll do:
- Preflight customer files for Indigo or large format printing
- Prepare artwork for production, including but not limited to: tiling for oversize roll printing, dieline modification, creating varnish and white ink plates, variable data.
- Communicate with customers and installers regarding proofs, timing, shipping, etc.
- Provide accurate instructions to production team
- Monitor project progress with production departments
- Provide updates to customer and sales team on job status and manage customer’s expectations
- Issue purchase order to outside vendors and ensure delivery time is met
- Quality control at different milestones of each project
- Create shipping documentation and invoices
- Verify quote specifications and price are consistent with purchase order
- Organize files according to company policy
- Follow management instructions for tasks not listed above
Our ideal candidate:
Education and experience
- Minimum 2 years experience in the printing, packaging or signage industry
- Experience with environmental branding
- Familiar with printing industry processes and materials
- Experience with variable-data printing, die cutting, opaque white ink, spot coating, overprinting
- Advanced computer experience (Adobe Creative Suite, making and editing PDFs)
- Advanced prepress experience (imposition, nesting, trapping)
- Experience with mailing, fulfillment, prepare UPS and Fedex shipping docs
- Customer service experience
Skills and abilities:
- Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and PDF workflow
- Proficient with Mac OS X
- Follow written instructions
- Reliable attendance
- Pleasant phone and email manner
