 Director of Strategic Planning and Assessment

Role: 
 The Director of Strategic Planning and Assessment provides leadership for strategic, tactical and operational planning. Specific responsibilities typically include: support of campus-wide planning, report and data analysis as it relates to planning, development of campus strategic and master plans, and supervision of departmental staff. 
 
The salary for this position is  $77,740.06  -  $116,610.08  per year.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
  •  25%:   Provides oversight and supervision for institutional strategic planning, trend analysis for environmental scanning, and continuous improvement initiatives. 
  •  20%:   Develops and maintains a comprehensive calendar for institutional reporting requirements, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines. 
  •  20%:   Coordinates assessment activities to evaluate institutional effectiveness and supports academic and administrative units in developing meaningful performance metrics.
  • 10%:   Oversees the use and management of assessment software; provides training and support to faculty and staff on data collection, analysis, and reporting processes.
  • 10%:   Prepares data reports, dashboards, and presentations to support strategic planning, institutional goals, and decision-making processes.
  • 10%:  Provides insights and analysis to leadership to align institutional decisions with strategic priorities; disseminates findings to relevant stakeholders.
  • 5%:   Performs other related duties as assigned to support institutional planning and assessment goals.

Knowledge and Skills: 
  • Experience:  Two years to five years of similar or related experience in strategic planning. 
  • Education:   A Master's degree or a specialized certification program taking one year or more of coursework beyond a Bachelor's degree. 
  • Interpersonal Skills:  Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the college for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation. 
  • Other Skills:  Ability to research complex federal and state regulatory guidance as well as college policies and procedures. Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills. Effective oral and written communication skills. 
  • Physical Requirements:   The work is typically sedentary. However, there may be some walking, standing, bending, carrying of light items, driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to do the work.
  • Work Environment:  Regular exposure to favorable conditions such as those found in a typical office.
