Position Overview


The Compensation Analyst III plays a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and managing competitive compensation programs to attract, retain, and motivate top talent. This position requires expertise in analyzing compensation data, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing strategic recommendations to align pay practices with organizational goals. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, deep knowledge of compensation practices, and the ability to handle complex projects with minimal supervision.


Essential job functions include, but are not limited to:

  • Conduct detailed market analyses to benchmark salary structures and pay practices against industry standards.
  • Develop, revise, and maintain salary ranges, job classifications, and compensation structures.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to leadership on compensation recommendations and trends.
  • Ensure compensation practices comply with applicable laws and regulations, including FLSA and conducts regular audits to maintain internal equity and compliance.
  • Assist in developing, documenting, and updating compensation policies and procedures.
  • Partner with HR, finance, and business leaders to provide compensation guidance and support for workforce planning.
  • Act as a subject matter expert to answer complex compensation-related inquiries.
  • Lead and participate in cross-functional projects, such as job evaluation initiatives or pay equity analyses.
  • Analyze trends and generate reports to support strategic decision-making.
  • Monitor and report on compensation metrics, including cost impacts and forecast modeling.
  • Assist with administration of Retirement Plans, both defined benefit and defined contribution plans to ensure compliance with plan documents.

  • Ability to interpret and present complex data in a clear, concise manner.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate across teams and influence decision-making.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management capabilities.


Education, Training, Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of progressive experience in compensation analysis, including job evaluation and market pricing.
  • Strong understanding of federal and state labor laws related to compensation.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, SAP, or similar) preferred.


Certificates, Registrations, Licenses:

  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or similar certification preferred.
  • Valid Oklahoma driver’s license, or the ability to convert within 30 days for those with an out of state driver’s license that are an Oklahoma resident.


Physical/Mental Requirements & Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed in an office setting.


Other information:

  • Position is located at the Administrative Center in Chouteau, OK or the Engineering & Technology Center in Tulsa, OK.
  • Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications
