What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Lead position at Great Escapes RV Resorts?
Great Escapes RV Resorts- North Port Huron Jellystone Park is a growing company specializing in acquisition, development, and management of RV Resorts throughout the United States. Our leaders serve a diverse sector of the RV resort / hospitality industry.
The Front Desk Lead assists with front desk check-in/out and reservation calls. Trains front office clerks on campground policies and procedures, management system, and other related systems. Prepares reports for management, as needed. Resolves guest complaints and disputes.
This is a seasonal job role that reports to the General Manager.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Display a positive and motivating attitude to maintain a high associate morale.
- Check in and check out guests according to the Great Escapes standard.
- Handle guest’s incoming calls within three rings with enthusiasm and great attention to detail. Use proper and professional telephone etiquette and report guest problems.
- Understand duties of all hotel departments to effectively connect incoming calls and solve problems. Demonstrate proper use of 2-way radio and paging system.
- Be knowledgeable about the resort information, local attractions, restaurants, and as well as in-house activities, to answer inquiries.
- Understand and follow credit and cash handling policies and procedures and know how to perform accurate adjustments and charges to guest accounts.
- Professional demeanor and high work ethic is expected every day, regardless of the situation. Keeping a professional communication between all Guest, Managers and other employees is always expected.
- Responsible for resolving customer issues and complaints by conducting thorough research into the situation and determining the most effective solutions.
- Helps train associates by reviewing checklists, reviewing policies and procedures, and answering questions.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Preferred, store experience.
- Previous cash handling experience.
- Previous computer experience.
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful working environment.
- Ability to multitask.
- Enthusiastic about interacting and helping guests.
- Receptive to special requests.
- Willing to follow instructions and take directions.
- Must be available during the weekend.
- Must be okay with sweeping and mopping/ cleaning.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The employee is regularly required to remain stationary for long periods. Must be able to lift and move up to 20 pounds. The employee is frequently exposed to outdoor weather conditions (hot and humid, rainy, extreme temperatures, airborne particles) during express check-in periods. Constant use of hands and arms to input data into the computer. Must be able to converse directly and by phone.
Job Type: Temporary
Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Every weekend
- Monday to Friday
- Rotating weekends
- Weekends as needed
