What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plating Technician position at Great Lakes Metal Finishing, Inc.?
As a plating tech you are responsible for racking parts and loading barrels. When loading barrels or racking parts, the employee must be able to lift 30 – 40lbs. Production employees are required to setup the line with the proper tooling, load parts and unload parts. Once the parts are plated on our automatic lines the production employees pack the parts and take them out to shipping. Production employees are also required to perform maintenance on the plating lines and building. The maintenance includes cleaning of the plating lines, sweeping and mopping floors, etc. Employees must have no issues bending or being on their feet for their entire shift.
