Job Summary
This position is responsible for daily activities relating to all medical records. It includes having records available before a patient is seen and updated and completed after.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Work as a team to Collect, Organize and Correlate all Medical Documents to scan into Patient Charts.
- Prepare charts for different types of office visits requiring specific detailed forms which could include: Waivers, HIPAA, Demographics, Insurance cards, IDs, Dictated Dr. Notes, etc.
- Becoming familiar with different medical forms and the designated location of tabs to be used for filing. Understanding the importance and delivery of specific STAT and Urgent results.
- Using computer and scanner to move papers into a computer filing system.
- Printing patients encounter forms to build patient charts according to physicians’ preference.
- Building charts 2/3 days in advance to ensure Satellite offices are completely prepared for clinics.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with EHR/PM systems used in medical field (SRS, Allscripts experience is a plus, but not required).
Working Conditions
Regular office environment..
Work hours: M-F 8-4:30.
