School Secretary – Finneytown Elementary
Successful candidate will provide support for the administrative staff of Finneytown Elementary.
QUALIFICATIONS:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (All may not apply, depending on specific assignment):
A 220 day contract will be issued for this position. Daily hours, to be determined at a later date, will include 7.5 paid hours and ½ hour unpaid lunch.
Compensation will be in accordance with the F.A.S.P. Master Negotiated Agreement, currently $16.63 - $20.40 per hour, based on experience.
Starting date: August 11, 2025

- Technology skills applicable to an office environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage regular office routines

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (All may not apply, depending on specific assignment):
- Maintain student cumulative records to monitor student progress.
- Compose, read, file, record and route incoming mail and/or messages for the purpose of effective communication within the building.
- Prepare outgoing notices and bulletins needed to maintain communications within the community.
- Assist with preparation of student handbook, maintaining current information for the school year.
- Provide clerical support to the principal and staff to ensure effective operations within the office.
- Greet and direct visitors to appropriate locations in order to provide appropriate public relations.
- Compile data and prepare statistical reports in order to provide accurate information for the school.
- Maintain payroll records of teachers’ attendance and process payroll information for educational support staff for the purpose of payroll continuity.
- Keep records and disseminate information as needed regarding student fees.
- Maintain school activity calendar and process.
- Maintain school inventory; manage requisitions; issue requests for equipment maintenance.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding student and staff information in order to remain in compliance with legal requirements and to maintain a professional work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned in order to ensure the efficient functioning of the work unit.
