The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if work is similar, related or a logical assignment to the position. *Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interest of the students. *Encourages students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior and work ethic when working on special projects. *Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and --in harmony with the goals--establishes clear objectives for all lessons, units, projects and the like to communicate these objectives to students. *Ensures accuracy and best practices for compliance of organizational standards. *Keeps records and prepares progress reports. *Keeps current in discipline and teaching techniques. *Participates in professional development and remains current in the field. Teaches district approved curriculum; prepares lesson plans accordingly. *Meets and instructs assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated. *Plans a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests and abilities of the students. *Any other relative teaching duties as assigned.
