Your Role: Under the guidance of the Director of Workforce Development, the Job Developer plays a crucial role in establishing partnerships, creating job placement opportunities, and fostering relationships with business partners. Additionally, the Job Developer instructs program participants, assists with participant recruitment, and cultivates relationships with current and prospective business partners.
Responsibilities:
- Initiate and maintain employer contacts to set up recruitment profiles and provide orientations.
- Schedule, create, and maintain relationships with outside employers and agencies through memorandums of understanding (MOUs).
- Collaborate with Workforce and Empowerment staff to guide participants through the job search and identify suitable job opportunities.
- Partner with the marketing and communications manager to develop marketing materials to promote job placement services.
- Provide information on the labor market and community resources to participants.
- Instruct individuals in resume and cover letter development, interview skills, self-evaluation/skill assessments, and utilizing job search engines.
- Facilitate workshops and coordinate job fairs and post-secondary education fairs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Communication, Marketing, Public Administration, Business, or related field.
- Experience in public speaking and relationship-building practices with partners.
- Organization, time management, and verbal/written communication skills.
- Knowledge of job development and placement techniques accepted standard employment practices, community resources, and professional organizations.
- Case management and data entry experience preferred.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated effectiveness in communication, organizational abilities, advocacy, and engagement.
- Must provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination status or applicable medical or religious exemption.
