Job Description: IT Support Specialist
Reports To: Director of IT
Home Office Location: Pinellas
Travel: Must be willing to travel between Lutz, Clearwater, and Tampa locations as required
Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and skilled IT Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in Office 365, software troubleshooting, IT infrastructure, and a strong ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users. This position offers a great opportunity to grow within the IT field and contribute to the smooth operation of IT systems across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Support & Maintenance
- Provide technical support to employees for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to computers, printers, networking equipment, and software applications.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software, and network equipment.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and password resets.
- Monitor and ensure email security, reporting any vulnerabilities or breaches.
- Ticket Management & IT Projects
- Manage IT support tickets, ensuring timely resolution and follow-up.
- Provide support for ongoing IT projects, including system upgrades and new technology integrations.
- Policy Enforcement & Employee Training
- Assist with enforcing IT policies related to data retention, file management, and security.
- Help train employees on IT policies, new software, and tools.
- Security System Support
- Provide support for surveillance cameras, access control, and alarm systems.
- Troubleshoot systems to ensure they are operational.
- Collaboration & Team Support
- Work closely with the Director of IT to resolve complex issues and enhance the company’s IT infrastructure.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Required:
- 2-4 years of experience with Office 365 applications (Teams, Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.).
- 1-2 years of experience in Office 365 administration.
- 1-2 years of experience with software configuration and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and networks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lift objects up to 30 pounds (monitors, desktops, laptops).
- Willingness to travel between Lutz, Clearwater, and Tampa offices on short notice.
- Familiarity with AI and AI training.
- Basic knowledge of AV systems and equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and proactive approach to tasks.
- Experience with ticketing systems and help desk operations.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Preferred (Bonus):
- 1-2 years of web development experience (JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap).
- Basic knowledge of SQL and database management.
- Experience with Python programming and software development tools.
- 2-4 years of experience in Dynamics 365 CRM administration and/or development.
- Familiarity with GitHub and version control.
Education:
- Associate’s degree in Information Technology or related field
- Two or more years of IT support experience may be considered in place of education requirements on a case-by-case basis.
