What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Workers position at Green Bay Packaging - Folding Carton Division?
The General Worker is responsible for a variety of entry-level position tasks and is assigned wherever needed during their shift.
- Material handling utilizing forklifts, clamp trucks and pallet jacks
- Feeding/operating machines
- Assisting in sheeting, printing, die cutting, finishing, forming and shipping as needed
- Performing quality checks
- General plant clean up
- All other duties as assigned
- Quality conscious individual
- Good communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Willingness to work either 2nd Shift (Monday - Friday 2pm - 10pm), 3rd shift (Sunday - Thursday 10pm - 6am) with some overtime/weekend work
- Willingness to train on 1st shift for the first 120 days of employment Monday - Friday 6am - 2pm is preferred.
- Prior manufacturing experience preferred, but not mandatory
