Physical Requirements
Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment, such as a computer and phone. Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion. Substantial motions of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The person is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data, and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. There is an occasional need for walking short distances. Work may be performed in company’s setting, home, or hybrid.

Your Opportunity
As an Automation Technician I, II or III you will design, build, wire, assemble, and install electrical controls used in machines and tooling systems. Responsible for basic programming of one or more of the following: HMI, PLC. You will handle work that is becoming more complex.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Write PLC-HMI program using various software packages.
- Create electrical schematics and electrical cabinet layout using AutoCAD Electrical, Build, and wire electrical panels.
- Typical programs would be medium complexity machine control.
- Design medium complexity machine guarding strategies that comply with OSHA and ANSI standards, to ensure the safety of our Greenheck teammates.
- Wire external machine components to electrical cabinet.
- Develop electrical parts list for the project.
- Order parts for projects using Ariba Purchasing system Power up, troubleshoot, and commission machine to make production ready.
- 0-6 years of relevant work experience is required.
- 2 Year / associate degree in electromechanical technology, automation engineering technology, or related field or equivalent years of job experience required.
- AutoCad or Drafting software
- Basic PLC training
- Basic HMI Programming
- First shift hours
- Minimal travel
- Must be able to work on-site Monday – Friday at our Schofield, WI location
- Will work in a brand-new facility
