Job Overview: The Greenville Chamber of Commerce is looking for a Part-Time Bookkeeper who will be involved in all aspects of accounting and financial record-keeping with a primary focus on managing accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and specific internal reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- General Ledger Transaction Posting: Maintain the general ledger by recording financial transactions and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of entries.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee the full accounts payable and receivable cycle, including invoicing, payments, and reconciliation.
- Bank Reconciliations: Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accurate and accounted for.
- Government and Grant Reporting Support: Assist with document preparation and ensure compliance with all government and grant requirements.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in budget preparation, financial forecasting, and financial analysis as needed.
- Month-End and Year-End Close: Ensure all assigned accounts are reconciled and closed properly at month-end and year-end.
- Other Duties: Assist with ad-hoc financial tasks and reporting as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
- Proficiency in Quickbooks Online and Excel.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive financial information.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred but not required.
