What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources and Safety Director position at Greenville Tool & Die?

Key Job Responsibilities:
· Leading, developing, and managing the daily HR activities.
· Recruiting, hiring, onboarding, retention, termination processes for full-time, part-time, and our high school pathfinder program.
· Assist with benefit administration, such as medical, dental, vision, life, etc.
· Ensures consistent application of company policies.
· Administrate Department of Labor, Bureau of Apprenticeship & Training for our Apprenticeship Program as well as college admissions and class scheduling.
· Establishes and maintains department records and reports.
· Promote and maintain good company/employee relations, such as service awards, cookouts, incentives, etc.
· Participates in staff meetings and attends HR seminars as needed.
· Serve on local high schools, career centers, and college committees, advisory boards, etc. as deemed necessary.
· Apply and Administer applications and grants, such as Going Pro Talent Funds.
· Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws.
· Maintains employee directory.
· Other tasks and responsibilities as determined by upper management.
· Organize and conduct bi-monthly blood drive, annual flu clinic, annual audio testing, & holiday dinner.
· Provide and implement all required MIOSHA/OSHA, and company/employee safety training and compliance as well as First Aid Team Training.
· Administer Storm Water Prevention Plan, fire protection inspection, & chain and nylon sling inspection.
Qualifications:
· Experience and/or a Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
· Automotive or Manufacturing experience preferred.
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office
