Description
Greenville University is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented accountant (Assistant Controller) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with all aspects of the University’s accounting and reporting functions
- Prepare and maintain a variety of financial reports
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Perform a variety of account reconciliations
- Assist with budget preparation
- Assist with accounting for donor funds
- Assist with external audit preparation
- Maintain and monitor contract files
- Maintain fixed asset records
- Provide general support for the Finance Office
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field or 5 years’ experience in an accounting role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
- Experience with NetSuite preferred
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Salary Range: $50,000-$70,000/ Annually. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions and department budget.
