WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE
A warehouse associate will operate forklifts in and around the warehouse to pull product for shipments and receiving to ensure loading is correct for items and loading patterns while ensuring product integrity and accuracy for order fulfillment. In addition, the lead position will have clerical job responsibilities in the shipping and receiving office.

What you would be doing as a Warehouse Associate:
Warehouse follows safety policies and Good Warehousing Practices (GWPs) to maintain a clean work environment while responding to mechanical systems faults and troubleshooting equipment issues to pick orders, stack cases and build pallets.
- Sense of urgency throughout assigned shift during a fast pace, multitasking skill set environment
- Develop, train and mentor each person on your team to ensure that the company and our customer’s Food Safety and Product Quality standards are recognized, maintained and improved. The Lead must be highly interactive and strive for continuous improvement personally, but also motivate the team and work with management
Office Responsibilities:
- Responsible to organize, plan, enter, and scan documents accurately, timely, and in an organized fashion.
- Responsible for managing the receiving/shipping schedules and coordinating with colleagues to notice errors, this includes communicating with management teams when scheduling may be unreasonable for proper planning.
- Responsible for visitors entering the building and keeping the building secure. This includes making sure all visitors are signed-in in the visitor book and getting in touch with the manager the visitor has an appt with.
- Responds to mechanical systems fault notifications and communicates with the corresponding team member to ensure the problems are resolved quickly.
- Intermediate computer skills; Email communication and company specific software programs
- Diligence with sense of urgency throughout assigned shift. Fast pace, multitasking skill set is necessary. High stress environment resiliency, able to perform safely & accurately to expectations of leadership.
- Call orders through software, notice inventory discrepancies, and update schedule continuously throughout shift.
The ability to prioritize customers based upon appt schedule and special accommodations
Ability to answer phones and work on the computer at the same time to ensure no calls are dropped.
Knowledge of trucking terms/procedures (Detentions, Truck Layouts, Stacking protocols, tandems, refers, dry vans, Intermodal, OTR, work-ins)
Requirements:
- Intermediate computer skills; up and not limited to email communication; using software to receive loads
- Forklift knowledge and use required. Certification is necessary for electric and propane
- 2-3 years truck loading and warehouse driving required
- Ability for extensive repetition, lifting, walking and on-and-off of forklifts
- Ability to lift 25-50 pounds of product
- Ability to distinguish color, SKUs, and lot codes; capable to hear audible alarms and distinguish different notifications for equipment is required
- Ability to communicate issues verbally and in written form, via email communication & filling out required paperwork
Salary is based upon background and experience.
