PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Oversee inbound marketing leads and secure business opportunities for Gregory Poole Equipment Company, the Caterpillar dealer for eastern North Carolina. Responsible for sourcing and advancing business prospects through lead qualifying, CRM processes, phone calls, and email. Define and support the implementation of a new Marketing lead scoring process through a Marketing Automation system. Act as the main point of contact for automated Marketing leads and collaborate with the Sales team on lead findings.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Identify and develop new business prospects through inbound marketing leads, prospect lists, discovery, individual research, and other sources.
Support the growth of GPEC’s Marketing Automation capabilities and assist with the implementation of lead scoring and opportunity creation in the Marketing Automation system.
Record and report lead findings to Sales team and collaborate with Marketing and Sales to identify, plan, and execute growth strategies.
Strengthen GPEC’s customer network and business opportunity leads through various means, ranging from cold calling and referrals to sharing value-based proposals.
Secure new agreements by leveraging insight-selling concepts and value-proposition content to prospective customers.
Partner with field and customer support leadership to meet customer expectations and forecasted sales thresholds.
Manage CRM (customer relationship management) processes and generate sales leads for requested accounts.
Communicate with current and prospective customers through phone, email, and direct mail follow ups; update and qualify CRM accounts through targeted campaigns.
Participate in specialized trainings including Product, Product Application, and an Inside Sales Boot Camp on an as needed basis.
Demonstrate excellence in customer service and represent a positive image for GPEC.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
A four-year degree in marketing, communications, or related business with one year of relevant marketing experience, or a two-year degree in marketing, communications, or related business with three years of relevant industry experience and demonstrated understanding of sales and marketing functions
Work Experience:
One year in general customer service experience with excellent professional and energetic customer service skills and/or a demonstrated outreach background.
Physical:
Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
Other:
A general knowledge of GPEC’s product line and market environment; Numerical competency to calculate figures and monetary amounts such as discounts, interest, and percentages; Must have ambition necessary to work with minimal supervision plus ability to multi-task in a fast-paced team environment; Proficiency with a CRM system and Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Willingness to work occasional evenings, weekends and travel overnight as needed.
