Job Title: Document Control Specialist I
Grit Government Solutions is looking for a qualified Document Control Specialist I to work at our customer’s facility located in Kissimmee, FL.
Coordinating and administering document management and general administrative activities. You will support the team with other day-to-day tasks related to project administration and document and records management on the project. Work with the team to establish and maintain a Project Management Information System.
Primary Functions
- Ability to analyze and solve problems related to document control, management, versioning, archiving and retrieving.
- Ability to prioritize and organize work efforts for oneself.
- Ensures compliance to departmental policies and procedures.
- Possesses interpersonal skills in dealing with multiple departments and personalities to achieve success.
- Ability to speak effectively before the client, contractors, or employees of the organization.
- Ability to understand a project delivery program in terms of potential documents and its filing requirements, specific to terminology and the stage of the project.
- Possesses competent computer skills - MS office product suite includes Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
- Ability to adopt existing filing protocol process and recommends opportunities for system improvements.
- Provide document management support to internal and external stakeholders within SharePoint and other Electronic Document Management Systems.
- General administrative responsibilities within the document control function including data entry, providing training of new users, and maintaining internal process documentation.
- May take department meeting minutes.
Education/Experience
- Minimum of 2 years experience in Document Controls.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook.
- Experience with engineering, architectural, and construction documents is preferred (i.e., maps, drawings, technical specifications, etc.).
- Strong communication skills and understanding of technical terminology.
- Familiar with SharePoint and other Electronic Document Management Systems/Project Management Information Systems, preferably Procore.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
