CAD Technician

This position is responsible for the preparation of 2D electrical and mechanical drawings, 3D CAD models, and other special documentation deliverables (custom Excel workbooks, videos, etc.) per customer specifications.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Convert and prepare 2D electrical and mechanical drawings per customer specifications
• Convert and prepare 3D CAD models per customer specifications
• Prepare custom Excel workbooks (preventative maintenance task lists, job plans, etc.) per customer specifications
• Create custom instruction videos detailing equipment operation, maintenance, repair, and calibration procedures per customer specifications
• Convert deliverables into a variety of formats as required (JT, STEP, AutoCAD, PDF, MP4, etc.)
  
  

Education & Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or media production field such as Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or Multimedia Production
• Must have a strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand and articulate what is occurring during machine operation and maintenance
• Proven technical competency with applications including EPLAN, 3D CAD software, video editing software (Adobe Creative Suite preferred), AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office
• Proven competency with one or more computer programming languages (C#, Python, etc.) strongly preferred
