Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Counselors to join our team for an engaging and fun-filled summer camp experience. As a Camp Counselor, you will be responsible for creating a safe and nurturing environment for children, facilitating activities, and promoting personal growth through various programs. Responsibilities
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Supervise and engage with campers in a variety of activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Plan, organize, and lead daily camp activities including arts and crafts, sports, educational games, and outdoor adventures.
- Foster positive relationships with campers by providing support, encouragement, and guidance throughout their camp experience.
- Implement educational programs that promote social skills, teamwork, and personal development.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment for all activities.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding camper progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Administer first aid as needed and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Collaborate with fellow counselors to create a cohesive team atmosphere that enhances the overall camp experience.
Qualifications
- Experience or education in special education, early childhood education, or childhood development is preferred.
- Background in daycare or tutoring is a plus.
- Skills in sports coaching or leading physical activities are beneficial.
- Strong classroom management
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.
- Ability to educate children effectively while making learning enjoyable through creative methods.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- A passion for working with children and fostering their growth in a camp setting.
