Who You Are :
We are currently searching for a Financial Controller to lead the financial team at our Cadillac plant. This role is ideal for a driven, analytical, and hands on accounting leader who enjoys rolling up their sleeves in a collaborative manufacturing environment to drive results. You are a person that loves to streamline and optimize processes, analyze data to solve problems, and utilize technology to assess outcomes that support growth. The role, which manages a small team, will report to the corporate Finance Director and have close collaboration with the Cost Controller, as well as plant leadership.
What You'll Do :
In this role you will be able to jump in and start making an immediate impact. Specifically, you'll :
- Use your 5-10 years' experience of manufacturing accounting leadership with a Bachelor's degree in accounting to lead the day-to-day activities of the accounting function, drive initiatives that ensure best practices around accounting controls, and analyze and forecast financial data to make recommendations that improve overall plant performance
- Utilize your proven leadership skills to manage and develop the accounting staff while also collaborating with internal company stakeholders and external auditors
- Partner with plant management by analyzing and reporting on production variances, labor & material costs, manufacturing overhead, distribution costs, returns and inventory levels
- Accurately and efficiently perform month-end close including reconciliation of intra company accounts, preparation of financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow), KPI reporting, product pricing, and other closing reports
- Leverage your strong technology skillset and tools such as Syteline, Hyperion HFM, PowerBI, and Excel to support system maintenance and optimization in preparation for our future system migration
- Ensure accuracy of the physical inventory, analyze potential excess and obsolete inventory, and report out status monthly
