Grow and Learn Childcare
Grow and Learn Childcare center is a family-owned center on the east side of Middletown that has been in operation for over 15 years. We are seeking an assistant director who understands the importance of good work ethic and reliability as well as promoting fun and engaging classrooms for the world’s youngest learners.
- Required Skills
- Delaware Dept of Education Early Childhood Lead Teacher certificate, but Curriculum Coordinator certificate preferred
- CPR/First- Aid certified
- At least 1 year experience as an administrative role
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with parents, staff, and children
- Knowledge of OCCL licensing regulations for large centers
- Knowledge of curriculum/lesson plan requirements for ECE classrooms
- Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with ProCare Software and Tuition Express
- Familiarity with Teaching Strategies Gold and ASQ’s
- Knowledge of Purchase of Care provider website
- Job Description
- Assist center director with:
- Maintining that the center, its classrooms, as well as staff and child files remain compliant with current OCCL regulations
- Building positive rapport with staff, parents/guardians, and the children
- Conducting well-versed and informative tours of the center for prospective families.
- Complete new staff orientations
- Completes and inputs monthly Purchase of Care and Child Care Aware attendance
- Completes monthly calendars for Parent Boards, and posts on Class Dojo
- Review and edit lesson plans for lead teachers (Funshine Express curriculum used)
- Closing down the center in the afternoons and ensure classrooms and hallways are properly cleaned prior to staff departure
- Check on status of and assist teachers with completion of TSGs 2x per year.
- Check on completion of ASQ’s by families on the portal
- Purchase center snacks when needed
- Organize field trips for Pre-K and School-Age students
