What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Associate position at Growth Lending?

With roots in the UK and South Africa, this role is an exciting chance to support our US growth and will start remotely.
This role is entry level and perfect for someone early in their finance career, offering extensive hands-on experience and strong opportunities for growth. You will assist with financial reporting, that includes but is not limited to data capturing, processing payments (internal and external), and preparing monthly / quarterly management reports. Your role will also involve liaising with investors, third party suppliers and audit teams, assisting with any of their queries. You’ll support the greater team with overseas monthly investor reports whilst owning the US ones, and assist with our annual audits, playing a key role in maintaining accurate and efficient reporting functions.
You’ll need a degree in a relevant field and some experience in finance, but we don’t expect you to be an expert yet. You’ll have the opportunity to learn on the job, with peer training and coaching to help you grow into the role. Experience with accounting systems like Xero or similar platforms, along with excellent Excel skills, will be important in handling day-to-day tasks. You’ll also play an active role in supporting our U.S. office expansion, contributing to the smooth integration of processes and helping manage the growing financial operations.
