Job Summary: Working in a hybrid model, the Controller, who reports to the CEO, will be responsible for strategically leading and actively managing executive reporting and insights, as well as accounting functions. This includes executive strategic insight, month-end close process, accounts payable and receivable, preparation of financial statements, internal and external reporting, audits, cash flow management, and tax functions.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all corporate accounting activities, including the month-end close process, preparation of financial statements, and internal and external reporting. Oversee the company's financial systems and processes to ensure accurate and timely financial information and reporting. Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations, laws, and standards. Develop and implement financial policies and procedures for effective financial management. Collaborate with other departments to guarantee accurate and timely financial information and reporting. Prepare financial statements, reports, and analyses for management, investors, and other stakeholders. Manage the company's cash flow and financial risk. Oversee the audit process.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Masters a plus.
- Six years of experience in accounting, including at least three years in a management role such as Accounting Manager, Accounting Director, Controller, or a similar position.
- Experience with a corporate multi-unit retail model is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting and financial principles
- Experience with financial systems and software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Salary : $135,000 - $165,000
