Cover Supervisor (CS) - Southampton, Hampshire

If so, GSL Education are seeking a confident and energetic Cover Supervisor to work across secondary schools in Southampton. This full-time role offers a competitive daily rate between £95 - £120 (based on experience), with the flexibility to choose your working days. The position is available ASAP or from Easter 2025, making it an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or individuals looking to gain valuable classroom experience.

Key Responsibilities Of Cover Supervisor (CS)
- Supervise and manage classrooms in the absence of the regular teacher.
- Deliver pre-set work to students and ensure they stay engaged in learning.
- Maintain a positive and productive learning environment by managing student behaviour effectively.
- Support students in completing their assigned tasks and provide guidance where needed.
- Adapt to different schools and classrooms while upholding high teaching standards.
- Previous experience in education, tutoring, mentoring, or youth work is desirable but not essential.
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage and motivate students.
- A confident and adaptable approach to different classroom settings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
