AbouttheRole:
TheGuitarCenterislookingforaSeniorRetailApplicationsEngineerwithexpertiseinMultivalueandPickBasicsoftwareengineering anddeepexperienceofretail,omnichannelPOS,microservices,APIs,cloudtechnologies.
Responsibilities:
- Providesystemsdevelopmentlifecyclefunctions an analysis, architecture, design, softwaredevelopment(includingcoding,testing,documentation,andimplementation), and maintenance of both new and existing software applications.
- Providedatabasemanagementfunctions,andresponsiblefordataintegrityofalltherelevantdatabases.
- Responsiblefortracking/reportingoftimespentonprojectsortasksandcommunicatingthisinformationtosupervisor.
- Supportapplicationinterfacesto/fromAIXservers.
- Providementoring,leadershiptootherdevelopersandsupportstaffinprojectexecution.
- Provideon-callsupportfunctionsasneeded.
- Provideadditionalsupportfunctionsintermsofmonitoringcriticalapplicationprocesses,scheduleprocesses,anduserprocesses.
- Responsibleforself-managingdeliveryofassignedtasks.
Job Requirements:
- Experienceinarchitecture,design,developmentandsupportofUniverse/Pick/Multi-valueapplications.
- ExperienceindatabaseadministrationandsupportofUniverseorotherMulti-valuedatabases.
- WorkingexperienceinUNIX,AIX,LINUXoperatingsystemsenvironments.
- ExperienceinandknowledgeofAIX/UNIXbasiccommands.
- ExperienceinandknowledgeofRocketExternalDatabaseAccess(EDA)andRocketReplicationsubsystems.
- 2 yearsworkingexperienceusingUniObjects
- Proventrackrecordofprojectdeliveryandsolutionsdesigns.
PreferredExperience:
- 4 yearsexperienceworkinginRetailPOSsystems.
- KnowledgeofPaymentsysteminterfacesforcreditcardprocessing.
- Workingexperienceinprogramming,codinginsupportofPOSperipheralsandotherdevicessuchasprinters.
- Versedinmultipledevelopmentlanguagesispreferred.
- WorkingknowledgeofJava,C,C#isaplus.
