Job Summary:
The Intake Coordinator plays a vital role in our behavioral health agency, serving as the first point of contact for clients and their families. This position involves managing the front desk operations while facilitating all intake paperwork to ensure a smooth and welcoming experience for individuals seeking services. The Intake Coordinator is responsible for accurately collecting and processing client information, coordinating appointments, and providing essential support to clients as they navigate their initial steps into our services.
In addition to front desk responsibilities, the Intake Coordinator will manage the recovery house, overseeing daily operations and ensuring a safe, supportive environment for residents. This includes monitoring compliance with recovery programs, facilitating communication among staff and residents, and addressing any issues that may arise.
Duties:
- Serve as the initial point of contact for clients, families, and visitors.
- Greet clients with professionalism and empathy, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, appointments, and resources.
- Facilitate the completion of intake paperwork, ensuring all required information is collected accurately and confidentially.
- Coordinate and schedule initial appointments for clients seeking services.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date client records in compliance with agency policies and regulations.
- Oversee daily operations of the recovery house, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for residents.
- Monitor compliance with recovery programs and house rules, providing guidance and support to residents.
- Facilitate communication among staff, residents, and external stakeholders as needed.
- Work closely with clinical staff to ensure a seamless intake experience for clients.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of intake processes and recovery house operations.
- Address any issues or concerns raised by clients or residents in a timely and compassionate manner.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in social work or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in a behavioral health setting or a related field is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse populations.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of recovery principles and best practices in behavioral health is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
