Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Dining Room Supervisor to assist in the management of our busy restaurant. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of guest service, sanitation, cleanliness, product presentation, and cost control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and direct workers to ensure efficient and safe completion of all retail tasks daily.
- Assist in training, on-boarding, and scheduling staff.
- Communicate regularly with numerous people including General Manager, Assistant General Manager, Dining Room Manager, Chefs and Cooks to ensure safe, professional, and efficient food service.
- Participate in management and safety meetings.
- Supervise staff appropriately to enforce standards and minimize personnel conflicts.
- Assist in maintaining department records such as schedules, payroll, deposits, tips, and daily cash reports.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/G.E.D. equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred
- At least six months restaurant experience required. National Park experience strongly preferred.
- Food Safety certification; strong sanitation skills; alcohol service TIPS or MAST certification.
- Basic computer knowledge & ability including Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, and food service POS systems.
Working Conditions:
- Work in a fast-paced environment with frequent movements from place to place within the unit.
- Lift, carry, and push up to 15 lbs. regularly, 20-30 lbs. frequently, and up to 40 lbs. occasionally.
- Withstand temperature extremes in freezer, walk-in refrigerator, and grill areas.
- Able to stand for extended periods and climb stairs occasionally.
- Speech recognition and clarity, including the ability to understand the speech of co-workers and the ability to speak clearly to be understood by same in English.
