Shipyard Valve Technician
Gulf Marine Repair of Tampa, FL is looking to hire full-time Valve Technicians.
As a Valve Technician, you are responsible for the maintenance, assessment, repairing, and testing of various types of industrial valves. You work closely with the Pipe department and follow all schematics and documented procedures in accordance with all Quality Control standards.
You tear down, clean, inspect, measure, and reassemble various valves including ball valves, gate valves, butterfly valves, and safety relief valves, etc.
You get great satisfaction out of doing your part to ensure that marine vessels operate smoothly and safely!
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A VALVE TECHNICIAN
- 2 - 5 years valve repair experience
- Must have own tools
- Must be familiar with tools and machinery required to perform daily valve repair duties
- Experience with repairing various valves and actuators, whether pneumatic, hydraulic, or electric.
- Ability to pass a drug test/drug-free workplace
- Shipyard experience preferred

WORK SCHEDULE
This full-time machining position works 40 hours per week. The 1st shift runs from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. The 2nd Shift runs from 4:30 PM - 1:00 AM Weekends are required when needed.
