Key Responsibilities
This role involves representing the airport during assigned shifts and maintaining airport compliance with applicable statutes, regulations, and requirements. The successful candidate will also perform a breadth and variety of different airport duties and special projects.
Coordination and Communication
- Coordinates the use of airport facilities by air carrier, air cargo, military, and charter aircraft operators.
- Communicates effectively with Air Traffic Control and other agencies using radios.
- Ensures that safety and security measures are coordinated with airport tenants, the FAA, TSA, and state and county public safety and emergency response agencies.
Teamwork and Adaptability
The Airport Operations Officer works well within a team and takes initiatives on new projects and tasks. This requires a 'can-do' attitude and the ability to multitask and prioritize scenarios.
