What are the responsibilities and job description for the Boat Rigger position at Gulf Shores Power Sports & Marine?
GSPS Marine, located in Gulf Shores, AL, is the fastest growing marine dealership on the Gulf Coast and we are currently seeking an experienced Boat Rigger. An ideal candidate must have general mechanical knowledge, as well as marine electronics, outboard motors, and electrical systems.
Responsibilities:
- Perform service and repair tasks on boats utilizing the various power and hand tools.
- Ability to install electronic systems and mechanical components.
- Install outboard and inboard engines along with associated cables and wiring.
- Install components such as fuel systems, radios, GPS, lights, steering systems, carpet, and windows.
- Perform preventative maintenance on vessel machinery and electrical components.
- Layout, install, test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify marine navigational, communication, and entertainment systems in the production and/or service of boats.
Requirements:
- Must have at least 1 year of general mechanical knowledge, as well as marine electronics, outboard motors, and electrical systems.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Must be able to work independently, but with regular instruction and checkpoints to ensure quality control.
- Must be able to lift, carry, and push articles weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work in tight and confined areas of the vessel while wiring or installing components.
Tuesday - Saturday 9-5:30
