What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rigger Supervisor position at Venture Dynamics?
We are seeking an experienced Rigging Supervisor with a minimum of five to six years in the field. The ideal candidate must hold a state dock badge and possess strong supervisory skills to oversee rigging operations. The pay starts at $28 an hour.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate rigging equipment to lift and move heavy materials and equipment.
- Collaborate with crane operators and other crew members to ensure safe lifting operations.
- Inspect rigging equipment for wear and tear, ensuring all gear is in good working condition before use.
- Utilize various types of heavy machinery, including cranes, dump trucks, concrete mixers, roll-off trucks, tankers, bulldozers, water trucks, and other commercial driving vehicles as needed.
- Follow all safety regulations and protocols while performing rigging tasks.
- Maintain clear communication with team members to coordinate lifting operations effectively.
- Document daily activities and report any incidents or safety concerns to supervisors.
Experience
- Proven experience in rigging or heavy equipment operation is preferred.
- Familiarity with operating cranes and other heavy machinery is essential.
- Experience with dump trucks, concrete mixers, roll-off trucks, tankers, bulldozers, water trucks, or similar vehicles is a plus.
- Strong understanding of safety practices related to rigging and heavy equipment operation.
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments and adapt to changing conditions.
