POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Manufacturing Manager to lead the production of our precision rifle components. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing CNC machining processes, ensuring the seamless transition of designs from concept to reality. You will collaborate closely with our Product Design Engineering team to bring up new products. You will be responsible for managing a team of CNC machinists, implementing lean manufacturing principles and driving innovation in our manufacturing processes.

THE PLACE
This position is on-site in beautiful Cody, Wyoming.
THE PAY
$110,000 - $130,000/year performance bonuses
THE QUALIFICATIONS
Proven expertise in CNC machining, with a deep understanding of high feed milling, high speed machining, and high performance machining concepts in CNC.
Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for fixture design and 5 axis CNC programming.
Ability to set up and troubleshoot CNC processes and provide corrective actions.
Strong grasp of GD&T, SPC, and mechanical fabrication techniques.
Experience with DFM (Design for Manufacturing) feedback to product design teams to optimize a design for CNC.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of CNC machinists.
- Develop and implement efficient machining processes to maximize output while maintaining quality standards.
- Program and set up multi-axis CNC mills and lathes to produce complex firearm components.
- Design and fabricate tooling and fixtures to optimize machining operations.
- Create and modify CAM programs using Mastercam or FeatureCAM software.
- Troubleshoot machining problems and implement corrective actions.
- Oversee quality inspection of machined parts.
- Train and mentor CNC machinists on techniques, best practices, and new equipment.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to review designs and provide input on manufacturability.
- Monitor and maintain machine tool performance.
- Manage tooling and direct purchasing to maintain proper inventory.
- Implement process improvements and lean manufacturing techniques to streamline and reduce waste.
- Participate in new product introductions.
