We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive team in a high-growth company within the creator economy. As CFO, you will play a crucial role in shaping the financial future of the company, You will lead our financial operations and readiness efforts to ensure a smooth transition into the public markets, providing strategic leadership in a rapidly evolving industry at the intersection of digital content, creators, and monetization platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- IPO Preparation & Execution: Lead and manage the full IPO process, ensuring all financial aspects, regulatory requirements, and reporting standards are met. Collaborate with external advisors, investment banks, and legal counsel to guide the company through a successful public offering.
- Strategic Financial Leadership: Develop and implement long-term financial strategies aligned with the company’s growth trajectory in the creator economy. Drive financial initiatives to support expansion, new revenue streams, and sustainable growth.
- Financial Operations & Reporting: Oversee all financial functions, including accounting, financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and analysis. Ensure timely, accurate financial statements in line with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations.
- Investor Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, analysts, and key stakeholders. Craft financial communications for earnings reports, investor presentations, and public disclosures.
- Risk Management & Compliance: Establish and maintain robust internal controls and compliance frameworks. Mitigate risks by ensuring compliance with all relevant financial regulations, including those specific to the public markets.
- Team Development & Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performance finance team capable of supporting the company’s journey through IPO and beyond. Foster a collaborative, data-driven culture within the finance department.
- Capital Market Strategy: Lead efforts in capital raising, financial restructuring, and mergers & acquisitions as needed. Manage relationships with venture capital, private equity investors, and other financial institutions.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. An MBA or CPA is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 8 years of senior financial leadership experience, with at least 3 years as a CFO or equivalent position.
- Proven track record of leading IPO readiness and execution, preferably with experience taking a company public on the NASDAQ is a plus.
- Experience within the creator economy, media, digital content, or a high-growth tech company is a plus.
- Experience in Capital Markets
Preferred Experience
- Experience with digital platforms, social media, influencer networks, or creator-driven business models.
- Successful track record of working in fast-paced, venture-backed environments.
- Familiarity with the dynamics of monetizing content and audience-driven revenue models.
Location
This role is based in the United States, with some travel required for investor meetings, conferences, and company events.
