Department Bio
The Department of Information Systems and Technology Management (ISTM) in the School of Business supports research and teaching related to information systems and applications development, emerging technologies, AI, analytics, problem solving skills, and specialized management topics.
Position Specific Summary
The student will work as an Academic Assistant to faculty teaching BADM and ISTM undergraduate and graduate courses. They will assist the faculty instructor in preparing course materials and lab sessions, provide assessment / grading support, exam proctoring, and supporting student academic success.
Standard Position Description
The student will provide classroom assistance to professors and / or graduate teaching assistants and promote student success in the relevant course or subject area. Tasks may include : Assisting the instructor with lecture and / or laboratory sessions, grading assignments, taking notes during class, holding office hours, preparation of course materials, and supporting student success by providing leadership and coaching. Special projects or duties may be assigned related to specific office needs.
- Graduate students performing teaching functions or supporting courses with student interaction must be hired through the Office of Graduate Student Assistantships and Fellowships.
