H. James and Sons, Inc. is seeking an experienced Office Coordinator/Payroll Clerk to join their team. H. James and Sons, Inc. is located in Fennimore, WI and specializes in Heavy & Highway Construction as a General Contractor for Wisconsin Department of Transportation as well as for Municipalities and Commercial Customers.
Responsibilities:
- Process weekly union and non-union payroll.
- Prepare and submit tax payments.
- Complete maintenance of employee records and deductions.
- Responsible for submitting the monthly union reports.
- Research and resolve issues for employees.
- Maintain highly confidential and sensitive information.
- Answer phones and respond to general office emails.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Skills:
- Two years’ experience in a payroll function is required.
- Familiarity with employment laws and payroll tax requirements.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and payroll software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with union and/or certified payroll a plus.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP a plus.
