Position Summary

Payroll Clerk is responsible for reviewing, completing, and processing Midwest Manufacturing payroll. The Payroll Clerk also is a support position for the Accounts Payable Manager.

Primary Responsibilities

• Accurately enter/edit Team Members’ time clock punches

• Process vacations and leaves of absences in Time and Attendance system and spreadsheets

• Manage Team Member badge deactivations and reactivations

• Review merit reviews, payroll information forms, new Team Member packets, and any other payroll paperwork for accuracy

• Assist in setting up shift patterns and make necessary adjustments to Team Member schedule settings

• Gather, organize and deliver payroll package(s) each week

• Manage badge security system for existing and terminated Team Members

• File/upload all Team Member information into electronic file cabinet

• Generate and forward daily time and attendance reporting to managers as necessary

• Answer calls and emails from Managers and HR Coordinators regarding time and attendance questions

Additional Responsibilities

Any additional payroll related functions or special projects as assigned by the Division Controller or Accounts Payable Manager

Position Requirements

• Able to perform each of the primary responsibilities satisfactorily

• Must be at least 18 years old

• High school diploma / GED

• Able to work independently and produce quality work in a timely manner

• Able to use Microsoft Office, basic typing and computer skills

• Must be reliable, organized, detail oriented, and able to multitask

• Able to write and speak clearly and accurately

• Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Midwest Manufacturing managers and controllers

• Thorough understanding of Payroll procedures and Midwest Manufacturing Policy and Procedures
