Job Description:
The International Shipping Coordinator will perform a wide range of duties required to arrange, coordinate and execute the shipment of our products to end customers, provide world class customer service, and to generate and coordinate accurate shipping documentation in order to secure payment from our customers for product shipped, primarily to international markets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Shipping:
- Arrange and coordinate ocean export, domestic, multi-modal, and return shipments through interactions with shipping companies, freight forwarders and the ports
- Maintain shipping relationships with vendors servicing international markets and secure ocean freight rates on request from Sales team.
- Schedule and complete appropriate product transfer requirements in accordance with Food Safety regulations and requirements.
- Coordinate and facilitate By-Product/Inedible Disposition shipments through interactions with State and Governmental regulatory bodies as required, trucking companies and our customers.
- As required, coordinate with trucking companies for incoming harvest product and farm supplies, ensuring accurate weights and other details are recorded.
Bookings:
- Request and coordinate shipping instructions once the contracted information is available.
- Ensure all shipping instructions and related information (packing, labels, etc.) are correct and recorded accurately.
- Coordinate with local processing team to ensure all shipments are fumigated and prepared for shipment in a timely manner according to the shipping instructions and contracted terms.
- File appropriate export information in accordance with international and destination laws and regulations, to enable cargo entry into the designated ports of dispatch and destination.
- Schedule and book export/domestic cargo transportation upon availability of finished goods through interactions with shipping companies, freight forwarders, trucking companies and ports, while avoiding the need to roll bookings due to departmental error.
Documentation:
- Review and coordinate appropriate financial documents needed to invoice our customers for each shipment.
- Generate correct, complete, and consistent shipping documentation to ensure on time delivery of goods to customers in accordance with international and destination country laws and import regulations.
- Ensure all documentation is approved and sent to the customer within 10 days of shipment departure from port of origin.
- Through coordination with the finance team, ensure that all documentary bank submissions for payment are generated and submitted in a timely manner.
- Submit precise export and industry filings as needed by US law, foreign law, and industry requirements.
- Request and receive correct certificates from County, State and Federal bodies when appropriate, dependent upon Incoterms.

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
