Responsibilities
Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Compensation Analyst to join our Human Resources team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in developing, implementing, and managing compensation programs that attract, retain, and motivate top talent.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research and analysis to benchmark compensation practices against industry standards and competitors
- Assist in the design and implementation of compensation programs, including salary ranges, geographic differentials, and variable pay plans
- Analyze compensation data to identify trends and variances, and recommend changes as appropriate
- Prepare compensation reports and recommendations
- Assist with maintaining the job description library
- Conduct periodic Fair Labor Standards Act analysis
- Ensure compliance with relevant labor laws and regulations regarding compensation and reporting
- Collaborate with HR and management to develop compensation strategies that align with business objectives
- Support annual compensation planning processes, including merit increases and bonus allocations
- Manage the compensation survey participation process and maintain survey library; research and identify new surveys as competitive landscape evolves
- Provide guidance to HR and management on compensation-related inquiries and policies
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
- 3 years of experience in compensation analysis or a related HR role, preferably in the insurance or financial services industry
- Strong knowledge of compensation principles, practices, and relevant laws/regulations
- Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools (Excel, HRIS systems)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy
