Overview
We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication (ie laser, brake press, etc). The Supervisor will play a critical part in ensuring that all jobs are completed on time, while meeting complex tolerance, dimension, and customer specifications on time.
Duties
- Oversee and manage team, ensuring efficient and safe production of sheet metal components.
- Read and interpret complex blueprints to properly understand job requirements.
- Plan, coordinate and supervise the fabrication of various sheet metal components.
- Ensure all work meets quality standards and specifications.
- Manage material ensuring all items are available for production as needed.
- Identify and resolve production challenges, equipment malfunctions, or quality issues.
- Provide development and cross training opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Experience
- 10 years in sheet metal fabrication environment
- 5 years of progressive leadership responsibility
- Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, and technical drawings effectively.
- Extensive knowledge operating press brake machines, plasma cutters, and other relevant tools.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- ERP experience preferably Epicor
