Accountants Payable Specialist
Job Type: Full-time / Non-Exempt
Job Location: Muskegon, MI
Hackley Community Care (HCC) is a financially stable and fast growing Federally Qualified Health Center that offers integrated health services to the residents of Muskegon County and surrounding areas. HCC is seeking an experienced, dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist. As a key member of our finance department, this person will play a vital role in managing our accounts payable processes. The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for the Accounts Payable process from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have experience in all aspects of accounts payable and be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Process invoices and ensure accuracy of all data entered in the system.
- Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies.
- Ensure invoices are coded to the proper General Ledger accounts.
- Verify and reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies.
- Ensure timely payments to vendors while maximizing cash flow.
- Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions.
- Responsible for obtaining proper approval on all invoices.
- Filing of check runs and invoices, maintain organized and up-to-date records of all transactions.
- Assist with month-end closing and other accounting tasks as needed.
- Responsible for obtaining W-9's and processing 1099’s at the end of the year.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in accounting or business.
- At least three years' related experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Skilled at prioritizing tasks and handling multiple deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain order in a fast-changing environment.
