Role Snapshot : As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of all accounts payable activities for both our Honor and Onekama locations. This in-person role is situated at our Honor location, with occasional travel to Onekama as needed. You will join a collaborative accounting team that values teamwork and mutual support, ensuring that everyone contributes effectively to projects and initiatives.
Additionally, you will be responsible for :
- Data entry of all AP invoices in a timely matter
- Researching pricing errors for AP invoices
- Reconciling invoice totals each day
- Running AP checks daily per managers review and preparing them for mailing
- Reconciling invoices each month with our reports and vendor statements
- Receiving purchase orders when necessary
- Scanning all receiving documents and AP invoices
- Helping out with accounts receivable matters when necessary
Wage Information : The minimum starting wage is $16.50 / hour, though actual wages will be based on qualifications and experience.
Schedule : This position is Monday - Friday, 9 : 00am - 5 : 00pm.
Qualifications : No prior accounts payable experience is required - we will train you! To excel as an Accounts Payable Specialist at Honor Hardware & Building Supply, Inc., candidates should possess a high school diploma and demonstrate a strong sense of confidentiality and professionalism. Being a self-starter with exceptional attention to detail is essential, as accuracy is critical. Strong math skills, combined with proficiency in computers and Microsoft Office suite, are necessary to effectively navigate our accounting systems and produce reports. Additionally, excellent written and verbal communication skills will enable you to interact with team members, customers, and vendors professionally.
